Peer to speak at virtual event

Ralph Peer II, the executive chair of Peer Music, will speak at the Birthplace of Country Music on Monday, July 18, at 7 p.m., marking the 95th anniversary of the 1927 Bristol Sessions, widely known as the Big Bang of country music.

Peer is the son of the Victor producer at the historic recordings that introduced the world to the likes of Jimmie Rodgers and the Carter Family.

The event is free but registration for the Zoom link is required. It is a virtual-only event.
