The Lincoln Theatre Adds to The Summer Heat With Sizzling August Performances

As the summer hits its hottest, The Lincoln Theatre is offering a wide and impressive range of artists.

The Marion stage will host performances promised to attract all interests and ages.

Following the Song of The Mountains performance on Aug. 6, which features Appalachian Road Show, Special Consensus, Andrew Farriss, and Adam Bolt, The Lincoln Theatre is presenting three live music events.

Cumberland Thunder is returning to the Lincoln Theatre for an inspirational night of music. The Christian rock group will go on at 7 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 13.

Cumberland Thunder is an eclectic mix of old and new, combining to create something never-before-seen in the Christian music field.

Adult tickets are $15 and students are $10. Tickets are general admission.

The Lincoln Theatre is thrilled to have Sister Hazel live on Aug. 18 at 7:30 p.m.

Sister Hazel is an American rock band hailing from Gainesville, Florida, with a penchant for penning upbeat, highly melodic tunes with their distinctive southern rock tone. The gifted group of performers was called “one of the Top 100 Most Influential Independent Performers of the Last 15 Years” by Performing Songwriter Magazine.

Their clear importance in the indie music scene has only grown as their talents are refined. Tickets for adults range from $33-28, and students are from $25-20.

The August events conclude with a star that began her career with three consecutive platinum albums. Lorrie Morgan, one of the most eloquent vocalists of modern times, steps into the spotlight on Saturday, Aug. 20 at 7:30 p.m.

Her emotional  range and stage presence is as vibrant as ever and the performance will surely be one to remember.

Premium tickets are $52, orchestra are $41, and seats in the balcony are $35
