Blue Ridge Junior Golf Tour stops in Blacksburg

Blacksburg Country Club welcomed 71 junior golfers from the Blue Ridge Junior Golf Tour on Monday, July 11.

Having junior players on site is nothing new for the well-established and venerable club, which has a long history of producing some of the best junior players in the state of Virginia, including current PGA star Lanto Griffin.

“It is a real treat to come to Blacksburg, said tour director Dewayne Belcher. “For the duration of the Blue Ridge Tour, club professionals Steve Prater and Brad Ewing have promoted the play of young members and encouraged them to play in junior tours, including the Blue Ridge Junior Tour. To that end, we are very grateful.”
