The Emory & Henry College Men’s & Women’s Swimming Teams got the spring portion of their seasons started on Friday and Saturday. The Wasps visited Lenoir-Rhyne University on Friday for a matchup with the Bears while the women also took on Converse University. E&H concluded the weekend with a home matchup against Catawba College as the women also hosted the University of North Carolina at Pembroke.
Marion graduate freshman Caleb Patton on Friday tallied a trio of third-place finishes in the 100-breast (1:09.15), 200-breast (2:27.29) and 200-IM (2:13.86).
On Saturday, Patton touched the wall first in the 200-meter breaststroke with a time of 2:50.04 and was second in the 100-breast (1:16.37).
