The Emory & Henry College Men’s Basketball Team (4-2) hit 11 three-pointers on its way to a 70-57 win over Brevard College (0-6) Friday at the John Rutledge King Center.
E&H and BC traded baskets early in the game before the Wasps went on a 24-6 run covering 10:29 to go up 26-12. The Tornados closed the gap to six (31-25) with 2:23 to go, but Emory & Henry responded with a 6-2 run to lead, 37-27 at the break.
Coming out of the intermission, Emory & Henry extended its lead to 17 with 14:10 on the clock. The Wasps pushed the margin to 20 (60-40) with 7:44 to go but the Tornados would not go down without a fight, putting together a 13-3 run to close the gap to 10 with 2:20 remaining. E&H fended off the BC run in the final minutes to claim the 70-57 win.
