Wednesday at Chautauqua

Climb aboard the soul train that’s pulling to the Chautauqua siding on Wednesday, June 21.

Opening the night of music at 6:30 p.m. on the Main Stage is Soultriii. Based out of Greensboro, North Carolina, Soultriii is an eight-piece band that specializes in soul, funk, Motown, R&B and more.

Applebutter Soul

At 8:30 p.m. Applebutter Soul closes the night.  Described as Lynchburg’s best jazz, funk and soul band, Applebutter Soul integrates soul and funk with jazz, R&B and Motown.

At noon, Chase Altizer will perform acoustic music in the Shelter Stage. Atlizer hosts open mic night every other Thursday at Seven Sisters Brewery in Wytheville.

At 11 a.m. in the Upper Shelter, George Bailey of the Wohlfahrt Haus Dinner Theatre will host an all-ages, free, fun acting workshop. At 1 p.m., St. Paul’s UMC Youth Group will host a free workshop making stepping stones at the Upper Shelter.

At 2 p.m., you’ll be green with envy if you don’t grab some Luck of the Irish in the Upper Shelter. Leprechauns, giants and fairies will come alive with Irish stories, magic and green balloons.
