Chief Joel Hash and the Wytheville Police Department congratulate Officer Ashlyn Wilson on her graduation from the New River Valley Criminal Justice Training Academy.
Wilson has spent the past six months working for this day. Academic, physical, and practical exercises are all she has known since the first of July. Today all the challenging work has paid off when she received her certificate for Law Enforcement Officer. She has earned the title of Officer.
Wilson is not finished. For the next few months, you will see her working with her Field Training Officers to complete the required on-the-job training.
