WPD seeking hit-and-run driver

The Wytheville Police Department is seeking the public’s health in identifying a hit-and-run driver that struck a town employee mowing the side of Cove Road around 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, June 28.

The town employee wasn’t injured, but the vehicle was described as a newer model four-door gray or black car that fled toward Holston Road.

There were warning signs about mowing on both ends of Cove Road.
