Wytheville Parks and Rec sets fall programs

WYTHEVILLE –The town’s parks and rec department recently announced upcoming programs and events for the fall.

Swim Lessons

The Wytheville Parks and Recreation Department if offering swim lesson for levels one through three beginning Oct. 12. Fees apply. Registration is due by Oct. 5.

Barbell 101

Whether you’re a novice or expert fitness enthusiast, work along certified strength and conditioning specialist and USA Weightlifting sports performance coach Brandon Wolford and staff as they take you through proper form, biomechanics and progressions on how to safely execute the deadlift. Session two is Wednesday, Oct. 21. Register by Oct. 14.

Speed and Agility Clinic

Whether you are a serious athlete looking to improve sports performance or just wanting to have fun, work along certified strength and conditioning specialist and USA Weightlifting sports performance coach Brandon Wolford and staff as they take you through a proper sport specific dynamic warm-up, sport specific training, speed and agility drills, sprint mechanics and various other activities to take your training to the next level. Session two is Wednesday, Oct. 28. Register by Oct. 21.

Fit for Life Monthly Support Group

Reunite with Fit for Life and Senior Wellness graduates as we discuss various health, nutrition and fitness topics on the first Tuesday of every month! Session one is Tuesday, Oct. 6.
