All-Hogoheegee Girls Basketball teams announced

Chilhowie’s sharp-shooting junior Katie Barr was named All-Hogoheegee District Player of the Year in the shortened 2020-2021 season.

Rural Retreat coach Pete Fiscus was named Coach of the Year.

Joining Barr on the first team was junior teammate Josie Sheets.

Fiscus also had a trio of Indians named to the first team, including junior Delanie Trivitt and two of his daughters, junior Madison Fiscus and freshman Annabelle Fiscus.

Senior Magan Frye was Northwood’s lone member of the first team. Holston also had just one member, sophomore Emma Bishop.

Patrick Henry seniors Fallyn Daniels and Natalie Strait were also selected for first team honors.

Chilhowie had one player on the second team, sophomore Hannah Goodwin. Rural Retreat junior emily Williams and sophomore Brelyn Moore were picked for the second team, too.

Northwood had two members picked for second team honors, junior Carolyn Hayden and senior Karleigh Stephenson.

Holston’s Ashton Keith, Brianna Bailey and Bailey Widener were named to the second team, as was Patrick Henry senior Ella Jackson

Honorable mentions include Caroline Roberts and Tia Crowgey of Northwood, Hannah Ballenger and Samantha Fox of Chilhowie, Shaina Addair and Madelyn Fore of Patrick Henry, Kennedy Morgan and Cortlyn Keith of Holston and Candice Miller of Rural Retreat.
