Bland County Fair is getting things in order for its Aug. 24-26 event, with plenty of fun events on tap.
Magician Brandon Owens will perform all three nights, as will acrobatics group Cirque Adventures. Dave’s Moonwalk Inflatables will be available daily, too, as will the trackless train. In addition, there will be farm and carnival games throughout the run of the fair, as well as exhibits and, of course, food.
The fair parade will be held Thursday, followed by a dog show. Entertainment on Thursday will be singer Lily Comer.
Friday’s marquee event will be an antique tractor pull with entertainment provided by gospel singing groups.
On Saturday morning, runners will take part in the Glenda Scott memorial 5K. A livestock show is set for Saturday morning, too. Artistic expression will be on hand Saturday for a painting class and a lip sync contest. A garden tractor pull is set for Saturday night.
Singer Georgia Randall will provide entertainment Saturday evening, opening up for classic rock group Ain’t Dead Yet.
