Following a soggy week of Chautauqua, the annual Wytheville festival drew to a close on Saturday.
In the art competition, Ken Johnson’s painting “Evening Service at Bethel AME Church” was named the overall People’s Choice winner. Mason Roark’s “Cruising and Drooling” took first in the youth category.
The People’s Choice Award winner for the Chautauqua Cars in the Park car show, held at Withers, was Robby Melton, who showed off his 1946 Ford pickup.
