Chautauqua Festival fundraiser planned for Wohlfahrt Haus

Preparations are underway for the 2022 Chautauqua Festival and the Wythe Arts Council is getting ready to host the first big fundraiser of the year.

The Chautauqua Festival, which will be held June 18-25, is an eight-day festival that provides free entertainment, craft and art shows, hot air balloons, children’s activities, food, and more for Wythe County and the surrounding communities. However, the festival and other Wythe Arts Council events would not be possible without the support of businesses, patrons, and the community.

On March 29, the Wythe Arts Council will be holding a silent auction fundraiser at the Wohlfahrt Haus Dinner Theater from 5 to 8 p.m. Along with a silent auction and appetizers, music will be provided by Casey Lewis. All proceeds from the silent auction will go directly to funding the 2022 Chautauqua Festival.

Donations have been coming in with items ranging from art from local artists, tickets to local baseball games, photography sessions, and even a stay at our local bed and breakfast. There will be item of interest for everyone who attends.
