Citizens co-op plans first cruise-in of season for June 8

Time to polish up your classic and muscle cars and trucks for the first Cruise-In of the season at Citizens Telephone Cooperative.

The event will be held on Saturday, June 8, from 4 to 6 p.m. at 220 Webbs Mill Road in Floyd. There is no entry fee and there will be food available for purchase.

The public is invited to join car enthusiasts from all over the New River Valley. Last year there were more than 100 different makes and models.

“Citizens is happy to offer our parking lot to the public to hold this event. We are all about connections and we enjoy connecting with the community at local events like this,” stated Tina Osborne, Events Coordinator for Citizens.

Citizens plans to open their parking lot for several more this year. The dates set are:

Saturday, June 8, 4 to 6 p.m.

Friday, July 26, 6 to 8 p.m.

Saturday, Sept. 28, 4 to 6 p.m.
