E&H falls to R-M in tennis

The Randolph-Macon College women’s tennis team won four of the six singles matches on its way to a 5-4 come-from-behind win against Emory & Henry College on Sunday.
The Wasps got out to a 2-1 lead through the doubles portion of the match. Sophomore Payton Holt and freshman Tess Flanigan won 8-6 at No. 1 doubles while junior Cailie Pollard of Rural Retreat and sophomore Sarah Marion claimed an 8-4 win at the third pairing.

In singles action, Flanigan showed grit to win – 1-6, 6-0, 6-2 – at the second flight while Pollard also made it two wins on the day with a 6-3, 0-6, 1-0 (10-7) win at No. 6.
