Things got out of hand quickly for Grayson County as the Maroons opened up a 28-6 lead in the opening frame and cruised to a 70-18 Mountain Empire District victory.
David Goode lit the nets on fire with three three-pointers, dropping in 17 points. Reed Kirtner also had 17 on the night, draining two from beyond the arc.
In the final frame, Grayson scored just two points.
The Grayson girls scored just two points in their opening frame, falling behind by 18 points en route to a 60-22 MED loss to the Lady Maroons.
By the half, GW led 44-6.
Makaylan Luttrell drained four three-pointers on the way to 17 points. Abby Berry chipped in 16 points, including two from beyond the arc.
