Music, art planned for Marion’s Spirit Gallery

Marion’s Appalachian Spirit Gallery will host Music in the Parlor by Mark Merz to go along with the the Dec. 10 ArtWalk reception and annual holiday sale.

The event runs from 5 to 8 p.m. with music at 6 p.m.

Work on display by member artists include paintings ranging from traditional to abstract, landscapes to landmarks executed in oils, watercolor, acrylics, alcohol inks and mixed media. Other works include jewelry, marquetry and turned wood items, quilts and fabric art, scarves, ornaments, photography, baskets, pottery and more. When searching for that unique one of a kind gift, look first in the Appalachian Spirit Gallery.

The Spirit Railroad Museum ( model railroad exhibits) in the lower level of the Appalachiam Spirit Gallery will be open during ArtWalk hours showcasing their special Christmas train layout along with many other great train layouts for kids young and old.

Visitors can view the art, grab a Christmas cookie, listen to beautiful music, sing along with friends, do some Christmas shopping at the annual sale and go downstairs to watch the trains running. Visitors can pick up a free 2022 calendar and let their kids select a free painted rock to take home with them.

For even more Christmas magic walk a few steps more to the Collins House Bed and Breakfast for their Christmas Open House to be held in conjunction with the Appalachian Spirit Gallery ArtWalk. The Open House will also run from 5 until 8 p.m. and is located at 204 West Main Street, right next to the Gallery. The Collins House B&B has been recently reopened by new owners, Carol & Rodney Brehm.
