Marion held off Grundy for a 21-16 win.
Grundy got on the board first putting 8 points up off a first-quarter run. Reid Osborne kept Marion close, getting into the end zone from three yards out.
Before the half, Osborne connected with Brody Whitt on a nine-yard scoring pass to give the Canes a lead.
The Golden Wave pulled ahead again in the final stanza, scoring another eight points.
Hunter Robinson, though, pulled through in the clutch, scoring on a five-yard run to give the Hurricanes the win. Whitt sealed the deal with an interception late in the final stanza.
