The Panther and Rebel battle didn’t disappoint, stretching out over five sets before Northwood was able to grab the Hogoheegee crown thanks to a 22-25, 25-15, 22-25, 25-17, 15-13 victory.
Karlie Frye finished with 23 assists, 20 kills, 17 digs and a pair of aces. Sydney Carter knocked down 23 kills, 26 assists, nine digs, seven blocks and four aces in the win. The two got serious help from Marki Palmer who came up with 42 digs. Maddie Lowe had 22 digs and Amira Lowe 31.
The win means Northwood gets an automatic bid to the Region D tournament.
Rural Retreat shuts out Cavaliers
The Indians rolled to a Hogoheegee win over Holston 3-0. The win over Holston followed a 3-0 loss to Hogo powerhouse Patrick Henry.
