The Emory & Henry College Men’s Swimming Team hit the midpoint of the 2023-24 campaign over the weekend, placing fifth at the Denison Invitational in Ohio. The Wasps broke six school records as they competed in a field comprised of elite NCAA Division II and Division III programs.
Sophomore Caleb Patton, a Marion Senior High School graduate, joined the B team for a 10th place finish in the 200-yard freestyle relay. Patton was also on the 10th place relay team in the 400-yard medley relay. Patton’s team was 10th, too, in the 200-yard medley relay.
In the 400-yard individual medley, Patton stopped the clock at 4:18.30, taking 22nd place. He finished 30th in the preliminaries of the 100-yard breaststroke. In the 200-yard breaststroke, Patton took 27th, finishing in 2:15.88.
