Ring races to fourth pro win

A little more than 40 seconds after he climbed in the cage in Knoxville for his fourth pro mixed martial arts fight, Wytheville-based Robbie Ring was calling out the No. 1 ranked bantamweight in Tennessee.

“It’s time to stop ducking me man,” Ring said in a post-fight interview.

He was talking to Josh Oxendine, the North Carolina fighter that Tapology ranks tops in the Tennessee bantamweight ranks. Oxendine has a 7-5 record, and Ring is ready to put his now 4-0 record on the line against the man.

“I’m the real fighter here,” he said. “I don’t turn down fights. I want No. 1 in Tennessee, and I deserve it. So come on. Let’s go.”

Ring’s fourth fight was even faster than his other three pro battles, this one at Knoxville’s Aries Fight Series, where he took on another undefeated bantamweight in Dusty Little.

At the bell, Ring slammed Little to the ground and locked up a darst choke, putting the Knoxville-based fighter to sleep in the center of the Cotton Eyed Joe nightclub in just 40 second.

Up next for Ring could be a fight for the bantamweight belt or, even the call out works, a scrap with Oxendine.
