‘The Little Mermaid’ coming to Theatre Bristol

Be where the people are and “sea” it! “Disney’s The Little Mermaid” presented by Theatre Bristol comes to the Paramount Center for the Performing Arts live on stage Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, June 7 through 16. Tickets are on sale at www.ParamountBristol.org and make the perfect gift of time together!

In a magical kingdom beneath the sea, the beautiful young mermaid Ariel longs to leave her ocean home to live in the world above. Based on one of Hans Christian Andersen’s most beloved stories and upon the 35th anniversary of the classic animated film, Disney’s “The Little Mermaid” is a hauntingly beautiful love story for the ages and one of Disney’s most successful musicals of all time. With music by eight-time Academy® Award winner Alan Menken, this perfect-for-the-whole-family sea-fable spectacular will capture your heart with its irresistible songs including “Under the Sea,” “Kiss the Girl,” and “Part of Your World.” Ariel, King Triton, Flounder, Scuttle, Sebastian, Ursula, Prince Eric, and many others in this large cast tell the story of dreams, love, family, and friendship that have delighted generations.

Directing the Disney favorite is Theatre Bristol veteran director, Glenn Patterson, with recent credits of the Royal Shakespeare Company’s A Christmas Carol, The Sound of Music, Into the Woods, Scrooge! The Musical, Fiddler on the Roof, and Disney’s Beauty and the Beast. Glenn is supported by the creative team of choreographer and costume designer Camille Gray, props artisan Rebecca Ryan, special effects technician Albert Tester, stage manager Camille Gray, and assistant stage managers Ann Vance and Terra White, along with Theatre Bristol crew, and producer Samantha Gray.

Disney’s The Little Mermaid opens June 7, and runs for two weekends at The Paramount Center for the Arts, Fridays at 7:30 pm, Saturdays at 7:30 pm, and Sundays at 2:30 pm, closing on June 16.
