All Wythe County trash and recycling centers, along with the Wythe-Bland Joint Public Service Authority transfer stations, will be closed this Monday, May 31, observing Memorial Day.
Trash and recycling center will have normal hours on Sunday, May 30, – from 1 to 6 p.m – and on Tuesday, June 1, – from 7 a.m. to noon and 1 to 6 p.m.
The Wythe County JPSA transfer station will re-open Tuesday, June 1, with normal hours from 3 to 7 p.m.
“The Board of Supervisors, county administration and staff wish you a happy Memorial Day and would like to say thank all who served or are current military personnel,” said Wythe County Public Information Officer Elizabeth Sweeney. “We encourage you to have a safe Memorial Day, drive defensively and be alert for pets, children and pedestrians out enjoying holiday events.”
