The threat of snow, ice and overall nasty weather prompted the Virginia High School League on Wednesday to extend the time frame for schools to wrap up regional basketball and wrestling tournaments.
The VHSL said that regions needing to complete tournaments are encouraged to use Sunday, Feb.14, to compete their events.
The state basketball tournaments are on the books for Feb. 16 to 20. The wrestling tournaments are set for Feb. 18 to 20.
