Chilhowie suffered a 54-42 road loss to the Honaker Tigers, a game that put Honaker atop the Hogoheegee heap for the regular season, going undefeated in district play.
Isaac booth led the Warrior charge, netting 20 points in the loss.
Despite the strong season for Honaker, the end wasn’t always ensured. Chilhowie trailed by just two points through the first two quarters, and without a 19-11 run in the third helping the Tigers it would have been a much different game.
The Lady Tigers, though, never left a doubt, opening up a 23-8 deficit in the first frame and coasting to a 69-21 victory over Chilhowie. By the half, Honaker was ahead by 34 points.
