Wasps softball bumps up to No. 17

The Emory & Henry College softball team continues its move up the national rankings to No. 17 in NCAA Division III, NFCA officials announced Wednesday.
E&H (13-3, 3-1 ODAC) earned a split with Roanoke College on Tuesday afternoon to remain in the top four of the league rankings. The Wasps continue to be one of three schools from the Old Dominion Athletic Conference to be ranked in Top 25 of Division III as Virginia Wesleyan University remains at the No. 2 spot and Randolph-Macon College climbs two places to No. 20.
Linfield College is No. 1 for a third week in a row while Texas Lutheran University retains its place at No. 3. East Texas Baptist University moved up one place to No. 4 while Salisbury University is the new No. 5. Previous Emory & Henry opponent Transylvania University is 18th this week after being ranked as high as 10th earlier this season.
