Auburn’s Eagles brought out the brooms on visiting Bland County.
The Auburn boys downed the Bears 81-49 in a Mountain Empire matchup in Riner.
Coahan Gordon stroked 26 points for the Eagles. John Miller led the Bears with 15 points.
On the girls’ side, Auburn claimed a narrower win, 55-50. Danielle Sanders powered the Bland effort with a game-high 21 points. Carli Christian, from Auburn, also stroked 21 points.
The Lady Maroon rolled over Giles 56-21. Abby Berry led the GW effort with 13 points.
