Maroons remain too tough

Olivia Shockley continued to prove she’s one of the top pitchers in Southwest Virginia, twirling a two-hit shutout against Grayson County. Meanwhile Andrea Pannell clobbered the ball, stroking two homers to lead the Lady Maroons to an 8-0 win over the Blue Devils.

Shockley fanned 10 in the win.

The Lady Pioneers up the road from GW didn’t have as good a luck, losing 10-0 to the Lebanon variety of Pioneers.

The Blue Devil boys “Goaded” GW into a 14-3 win. Makray Goad went yard as Grayson piled up a 14-3 Mountain Empire District victory.
