Faulkner earns two golds, silver at meet

Haley Faulkner hauled home two first-place medals for George Wythe from the April 8 Judy Thomas Invitational at Patrick Henry High School.

Faulkner raced to first in the 100-meter dash, posting a time of 13.07. She took first in the 200-meter dash with a 27.04 finish. Faulkner finished second in the 400-meter dash, posting a 1:04.99 run. Faulkner was eighth in the triple jump, leaping for 30 feet, 9.5 inches.

Emma Faulkner took second in the 3200-meter run, posting a time of 12:29.31.

Fioiella Leon finished second in the 100-meter hurdles, finishing in 18.32. Leon took fifth in the 300-meter hurdles with a time of 59.73. Cadence Deane secured ninth in the 300-meter hurdles with a 1:12.61 race.

Keira Scott’s 13.74 in the 100-meter dash earned her fourth place. Scott took sixth in the 200-meter dash with a time of 29.05.

Catherine Paschal took 12^th in the 400-meter dash and 30^th ion the long jump. Ella Gallimore finished 13^th in the 400. Emma Stiltner finished 16^th in the 100-meter dash and 24^th in the long jump. Sara Beth Wright claimed 29^th in the shot put for the GW girls.

Luke Clarke led the GW boys, finishing first in the 400-meter dash with a time of 54.00.

A shot put of 42 feet, 2.5 inches gave Brock Ayers a fourth-place finish.

Brandon Pannell took fourth in the 1600-meter run, clocking in at 5:27.99. Pannell finished 13^th in the 800-meter run.

Oscar Montgomery finished fourth in the 800, clocking in at 2:14.77. Montgomery was eighth in the 400-meter dash, finishing in 58.90.

Holden Luttrell’s 19.67 in the 110-meter hurdles earned him eighth. Jeriah Cooper took 13^th in the 110-meter and 300-meter hurdles.

J’Mere Rivens earned 11^th place finishes in the 100-meter dash and the 200-meter dash, while Trey Rainey was 23^rd in the 200 and 28^th in the 100. Sam Kichline finished 28^th in the 400-meter dash and Kaden Irby was 32^nd in the 200-meter dash.
