A 37-year-old Troutdale man died in a single-vehicle crash early on April 6 in Smyth County.
Virginia State Police Trooper C.M. Combs was called out to investigate the 1:35 a.m. crash on state Route16, less than a mile north of Megan Lane.
A 2006 Chevrolet Silverado was traveling south on Route 16 when it ran off the left side of the road and struck a tree.
The driver, Brian E. Robinson, 37, of Troutdale was partially ejected from the vehicle and died at the scene.
